Peaceful Getaways in South Haven

Our tastefully renovated cottage is the perfect setting for a true vacation. Feel at home, relax, and spend quality time with your family or group, while enjoying all the fun that South Haven and Lake Michigan has to offer! Our home has 4 beds and 3 baths. The home is set up to sleep 15 max (13 comfortably): Bedroom 1: Main floor; Queen size bed. (Sleeps 2) The walk-in closet has an extra cot, a toddler high chair, and a pack n' play. Bedroom 2: 2nd floor, master's. King size bed (Sleeps 2). The Walk-in closet has an extra cot and a foldable crib. Bedroom 3: 2nd floor: Queen size bed (Sleeps 2). Bedroom 4: 2nd floor: 5 bunk beds (Sleeps 5). EXTRA beds: Queen pull out sofa in the living room (Sleeps 2). 2 extra twin cots that can be set up in the family room (Sleeps 2). Stored in the main floor bedroom closet and the master's bedroom closet. Bath 1: Main floor, by the kitchen. Bath 2: 2nd floor, hallway. Bath 3: 2nd floor, inside the Master's bedroom. The laundry washer and dryer are located here We have equipped the kitchen with everything you need for cooking and eating. There's complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, and cream. You can also bring your own K-cups and use the Keurig. The dining area has a wonderful ambiance! The table sits 6 but if you need additional seating, we have 4 folding chairs tucked away in the dining area closet. There's a high chair for your baby or toddler (kept in the bedroom closet on the main floor)! A pack n' play is available to keep your baby safe while playing or napping. Right in the living room is a conversational couch, which is also a queen-size, pull-out sofa. Across from it, is the entertainment area, where you can watch movies and play board games. A game table on the side of the room has been set up for your convenience. There's a reading nook with a couple of recliner chairs and personal reading lamps. The 3-season porch and the outdoor deck are available to use from spring to early fall. You can use the grill and patio furniture on the deck, picnic tables, and a bonfire pit to enjoy the outdoors. The home sits on 1.22 acres so there's plenty of room to set up yard games: bean bag toss, croquet, basketball. Lastly, if you're heading out to the beach, remember to grab some beach toys and portable chairs from the garage -- all available for your use and enjoyment! Legacy Haven House Rules We provide a clean and allergy-friendly environment. We do NOT allow pets. Within 72 hours from booking, please provide a guest list with full names and ages along with a valid government-issued photo ID of the person making the reservation. Please remove shoes and footwear in the mudroom and before entering. Smoking or Vaping: No smoking or vaping is allowed in the home, porch, on the deck. or in the garage. Any cigarette butts found on the grounds are subject to an additional cleaning fee of $25 per cigarette butt. Fireplace: There is a fireplace in the family that is not safe for use. It has not passed inspection. Please do NOT use this. Fire Pit: There is a fire pit in the back yard for your use. Please bring your own firewood and marshmallow sticks. Trash and Recycling bins: Guest(s) are to use the following instructions for trash removal on the Property: If the Trash and Recycling Bins are at the curb when Guest checks in, please check the bins to see if they are empty. If they are empty, then they need to be brought back to the side door of the garage. Pick-up occurs on Fridays. During the stay, the Trash Bin need to be brought out to the curb by Thursday night. The Recycling Bin gets picked up every 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month. There is a calendar in the Resource Book at the house. The Recycling Bins must be brought to the curb Thursday night as well. The opening of the bins need to be facing the street and there should be at least 3 feet between the bins so the trucks can pick them up individually and at least 5 feet away from the Mailbox, and within 2 feet from the road. Once pick up has occurred, please bring the empty bins back to the side door of the garage. If Guest(s) checks out between Saturday and Wednesday, then Trash AND Recycling Bins Do NOT need to be brought out to the curb on the day of check out. Please leave them by the side door of the garage on the concrete area. After pick-up occurs on Friday afternoon, Guest(s) will bring bins back to the side door of the garage. If Guest(s) check out on Friday, and bins are still full, then bins can be left at the curb for the next Guest to check-in and bring the bins to the garage side door. Lawn Service by the Lawn Boys mow the lawn every 2 weeks. Usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. They work quickly and shouldn't disturb you. Noise Ordinances: The Guest(s) shall behave in a civilized manner and shall be good neighbors respecting the rights of the surrounding property owners. The Guest(s) shall not create noise or disturbances likely to disturb or annoy the surrounding property owners. Creating a disturbance of the above nature shall be grounds for immediate termination of this agreement and Guest(s) shall then immediately vacate the premises. All Guest(s) must comply with South Haven noise ordinances, which prohibit loud noise (such as yelling and amplified music) after 9 PM on weekdays, and 10 PM on weekends and before 7 AM. Cleaning supplies during stay: For any spills that need attention during your stay, cleaning supplies are located in the kitchen cabinets and dining room closet (brooms and vacuum are also available). Accidents do happen-simply replace any item that your group happens to break, and notify us through your Airbnb app or calling and texting me directly. We want open communication about these incidents so they can be resolved quickly and fairly. Ring Cameras and Security: There are 2 ring doorbell/cameras outside of each entry door and 2 floodlight cameras outside (at garage side door and above the deck). There is one security camera inside the garage. There are no cameras in the bedrooms, closets, bathrooms or any living spaces inside of the house. There are motion detectors in the dining room and foyer that are part of the Ring security alarm system, and those are only armed when the house is vacant and not in use. We respect your privacy. Kitchen Supplies: There is also foil, plastic wrap, small Ziploc bags, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. Please replenish as needed. Five dishwasher pods are available for your use. Ground fault “reset” on outlets in the kitchen may trip, push the reset button. Laundry: There is a washer and dryer available in the master bedroom. Please DO NOT overload the washer and dryer. We have also provided 5 laundry soap pods, dryer balls in the dryer, ironing board, and iron. Towels: Beach towels are NOT provided and guests should provide their own. The bath towels are to be used in the home and should not be taken to the beach. Please Do NOT use white towels to wipe off make-up. We provided several make-up removal wipes. When they are gone, please provide your own. Parking: One car can park inside the right side garage stall. You will get a code for the keypad. There is a ring camera inside the garage. An additional three cars can fit in the space in front of the garage or to the left of the garage. There is a maximum of 4 cars at the property. Heating/Cooling: All doors and windows should be CLOSED when running heat or A/C and all doors and windows must be closed and locked upon departure. Windows and Doors: Do NOT leave windows or doors open unless they have screens. Flying pests may enter the home and make your stay uncomfortable. Smoke/CO detectors: Guest(s) must notify the Owner without delay if a fire alarm “chirps” or has a low battery condition. Please do not push the test button on the smoke/CO detectors without coordination with the Owner, because they are connected to Ring Alarm system and the emergency response personnel will be dispatched. Use of Utilities: The guest(s) are not permitted to mine cryptocurrency or set up an electric vehicle charging station. Extra Comforts: Smart Cable TV where you can log into your personal streaming (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, YouTube TV, etc.), a Blu-ray/DVD player in the bunk room and in the family room, and Wi-Fi are available for your use.
